My Role:
Project management. New site set up: domain procurement, hosting, and initial install of WordPress. Website creation and design.
Tools Used:
Built using WordPress CMS and a popular site-builder plug-in. Design details were hand coded using HTML and CSS. Google ReCAPTCHA to mitigate spam from the contact form. Team Viewer and Microsoft Teams for design showcases and planning meetings. Doc-u-Sign and business PayPal for confirmation of terms, invoicing and payment.
Details:
The roofing business in the UK is mostly through word-of-mouth. Lewis has had a solid client base for years, but he’s never had a website. After a series of missed opportunities and lost contact information he decided that needed to change. Something personalized but not as fussy as a “big website.” He wanted a place that could be set up and used as a digital business card, and something you didn’t need to be logged in to see.
We found the best fit to be a static two-page website with a small gallery of his best projects and a contact form. Now he doesn’t have to worry about someone forgetting his info. His name is right there on the front.
